With four large towers in downtown Chicago, Presidential Towers is one of the most well known apartment complexes in the city. They recently updated several aspects of the buildings and wanted to not only commemorative the occasion, but also wanted to share the changes with the public. They also wanted to give residents artwork in their new gallery spaces.
SOLUTION:
We came up with a photography contest that focused on the “photographers’ Chicago”. We wanted people to show us The Windy City through their own eyes. Submissions were requested via online advertisements and a micro-site. Four winning photographs were made into commemorative posters and handed out at the grand re-opening event. The photographs were also included on panels in the new residents’ galleries and social spaces.
