Bird Houk Collaborative Lobby

Bird Houk Collaborative Lobby

When Bird Houk Collaborative moved into their new Creekside office, they were met with an interesting dilemma. Poor wayfinding and very little branding at the entrance caused many visitors to be unsure if they had reached the right office. The giant blank wall that met visitors at the entrance was cold and unwelcoming.

SOLUTION:
To warm up the lobby area and to help people who were searching for the space, I worked to create a branded entrance. Using a metallic Pantone paint that matched the brand colors, I painted the entire wall and “cube”. The effect was subtle, but used the gallery and spot lighting already installed in the space. A vinyl design was then applied to the wall, creating a simplified version of the BHC logo. Because of the design and simplicity, this really created more of an abstract design that gave them more than just a blank wall. A wood and acrylic sign was then placed on the wall to include the logo and  list of services.
